Pharmaprojects on the Web V5.2 is available to download from the link below,
(for existing clients this download acts as a patch to upgrade your current V5.1
software). It is now possible to perform both a standalone and a network installation
of the new web version. Please read and follow the installation instructions to
perform the particular install relevant to you.
Please see the minimum specifications for Pharmaprojects on the Web before continuing
Standalone - To be used for laptops and those wishing to work away from the office.
Network - To be used for desktop machines where the user is not mobile.

Minimum specifications for Pharmaprojects on the Web
Below are the minimum requirements and prerequisites necessary for you to be
run and have access to Pharmaprojects on the Web V5.2.

PC operating systems supported: Windows® 98 SE, Windows® NT SP6, Windows® 2000, Windows® XP SP1
If running under Terminal Services: Windows® 2000 Server, Windows® 2000 Server Advanced
Network Server: 25 MB (on the drive selected at install)
Network Client PC: 1 MB (on the C drive)
Standalone: 25 MB (on the drive selected at install)

Quick installation guide
The Pharmaprojects software must be installed on either a standalone PC or a
networked server. For the networked installation, no Pharmaprojects software is
installed on client PCs, although each PC must be correctly configured and so
software has been developed to guide you through setting up the client PCs, should
you wish to use it.

Networked installation using the installation software to set up client PCs
Who should use this method?
- New customers setting up network clients
- Existing customers converting from standalone to network clients
- Existing customers setting up a new machine that has no prior Pharmaprojects
(Web) installation
- Existing customers converting from the networked version of Pharmaprojects V5.0
(CD) to the networked version of Pharmaprojects on the Web V5.2
How to install:
- Ensure the server and client PCs have the correct software prerequisites in place
(Microsoft® Internet Explorer V5.01 and Microsoft® .NET Framework V1.1). These can be downloaded from the Microsoft® website. Alternatively Microsoft® .NET Framework V1.1 can be obtained from http://www.pjbpubs.com/pharmaprojects/support.htm
- Click here to download the Pharmaprojects on the Web V5.1 software
- On the server where you want to install Pharmaprojects on the Web V5.1 double-click
on the file "PPWEB_5101.exe" and follow the on-screen installation guide. At the
appropriate screen, select the Network installation: server version of Pharmaprojects.
- Use the Pharmaprojects installation software to guide you through the set-up
process.
- Once you have successfully installed Pharmaprojects on the Web V5.1 on the server,
at each PC where you wish to use Pharmaprojects on the Web, double-click on the
file "PPWEB_5101.exe" and follow the on-screen installation guide. At the appropriate
screen, select the Network installation: client PC version of Pharmaprojects.

Networked installation without using the installation software to setup client
PCs
Who should use this method?
- Any customer that would to prefer not to use the installer to set up networked
client PCs
How to install:
- Ensure the server and client PCs have the correct software prerequisites in place
(Microsoft® Internet Explorer V5.01 and Microsoft® .NET Framework V1.1). These can be downloaded from the Microsoft® website. Alternatively Microsoft® .NET Framework V1.1 can be obtained from http://www.pjbpubs.com/pharmaprojects/support.htm
- Click here to download the Pharmaprojects on the Web V5.1 software
- On the server where you want to install Pharmaprojects on the Web V5.1 double-click
on the file "PPWEB_5101.exe" and follow the on-screen installation guide. At the
appropriate screen, select the Network installation: server version of Pharmaprojects.
- On each PC where you wish to use Pharmaprojects on the Web V5.2, make sure that
the .NET Framework Intranet Settings are set to Full Trust and that you have full
read/write/modify permissions to the Pharmaprojects program folder on the server.
- Create a desktop short-cut from each client PC to the file PPlaunch.exe on your
server.
