Source material
Where do we get our data from?
Over 500 sources of international research literature are scanned for new developments, and many web-based news providers are accessed on a daily basis.
The Pharmaprojects team of information specialists constantly review worldwide
information on new drug development.
There is continuous two-way communication between the Pharmaprojects staff and their contacts in
the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, both to gather new data and, importantly, to verify information obtained from
other sources.
The companies themselves
A significant proportion of Pharmaprojects information comes directly from the companies themselves, with extensive reference to company websites, reports and press releases. Every company with an entry in Pharmaprojects is asked to verify the details
recorded for its development pipeline and company information.
Scrip World Pharmaceutical News
In addition, much new information derives from the work of the editorial team
on Pharmaprojects' sister publication Scrip World Pharmaceutical News.
Worldwide conferences attendance
Pharmaprojects editors attend the major medical and scientific congresses around the world to gather information often entering the public arena for the
first time. They use these opportunities to interview company personnel attending the congresses to ascertain the company's development plans for any
products reported. This ensures that, as far as possible, all new compounds entered
into the database are true development candidates so that your reports and decision
are formed on accurate data (see conference coverage article).
For those conferences not attended, abstracts are obtained and the information
reviewed for inclusion in Pharmaprojects.
